Current Mantis Set Up

Here's my current mantis set up.  I'm only running a local species called the Chinese Mantis (Tenodera sinensis).  Top right is hatching house, contains the ooths and is free of random stuff to make it easy to get them out.  Underneath it is an ancient adult female.  She's starting to falter and likely will end up as an entropy piece once she's finally gives up the ghost.  The small class terrarium is newest hatch of babies.  Not all that many hatched so they got a small tank.  The large terrarium was series of hatches from the same week.  They get their fruit fly breeding dish help prevent cannibalism.  They hatched a few weeks back and have already shed once.

Mounted Mantises - quiet for a long while

mounted manties for photogrammetry

I've been prepping more mantises for photogrammetry.  It's surprisingly fussy and I have to keep them in case to keep them from getting dusty.  Though to be honest the case came from doing makers faires.  Even the most attentive parents cannot manage their kids 100%.  One of those flies is actually mostly useless if you look at closely.  It got kid mushed despite their parents best efforts.  Not mad, just how kids are.  So into a case the subjects go.

I won't be posting a lot of finished for awhile.  Most of the stuff I will be doing will be for a large show come spring.
